The Race for Fourth

I can't see Arsenal not winning this game comfortably. Sunderland are dreadful – maybe with the exception of Pickford.

Haha Brendan's need for self validation (and his need for the last word - which is coming right up folks) is hilarious! A 250 word crowing essay to prove his point. All because I misread his post. Jesus Christ.

And talking about having your arse handed to you it was shocking how you slunk off the last time we got into it and yours was on a platter. No guts to admit you got it wrong. Just went dark. Something you learnt from your employers no doubt.

I got it wrong, but you admit to misreading my post. Ergo, you got it wrong, and I made you look like a cunt.

What fun!

Pickford for Ming please
Much easier to be a busy keeper in a poor team. You get in a groove and each save builds confidence. Hard to get called on 1-2x per game. That has been Ming's struggle (along with kicking) until later part of this season.

I don't think Pickford is the solution.

They've got 10 points out of 54 playing away. They're fucking garbage.

If our lot are professional about it we'll easily beat them whilst Everton just hand Arsenal the game.

I wouldn't want to call who gets fourth.

Im quietly confident lukaku will tell barkley to fuck off and wanna score and win. Im far less confident in ourselves.

We have bottled our two finals under klopp, this is equally as important as they were in the grand scheme of things , so fingers crossed its third time lucky

Nah 5-0 minimum.

  • If we win, we're fourth (which is a trophy apparently).
  • If we win big then we have a slight chance of third.
  • If we don't win we're fifth

Pickford is a great shot stopper, but he's hopeless at kicking a ball. Never finds a target, most times kicks it out for a throw in. Next.

Pickford kicked straight into touch yesterday - you can imagine the reaction on 6CM if that was Ming.
He also has a tendency to punch everything two handed, it looks a bit weird and one poor punch almost led to a goal. Again you can imagine the outcry here.
Ming's shot stopping is pretty damn good so overall I'm not seeing any improvement worthy of the gamble. Why the cries for Pickford and not Butland ?

Wait, we had one game to win last year to make the CL as well right?

True but that was against a good side at a neutral venue. This is at home against a terrible team. If we cant beat this Boro side given they have already mentally checked out for the season we have no business in the Champions League

Hull lost 2-0 at home to Sunderland when they were "fighting for their lives" snd Sunderland had already been relegated.

next.

I hate these idiotic comparisons.
Tottenham were fighting for the league and lost 1-0 for West Ham.
Liverpool beat that same West Ham team 4-0 the next week.

Does that mean anything? No.

I watched most of the Arsenal game ... So three points about one player, Ozil.

1) I don't get why he wasn't sent off. If he had kicked the ball at the ref as he did at Oviedo (I think) after the whistle, he'd have got his second yellow. So now kicking the ball at a player after pushing him is ok? Cowardly refereeing.
2) Great pass to set up Alexis' first goal - he makes rather difficult passes look rather easy.
3) Later on in the game, Ozil could have easily picked up a loss ball but decided to walk and a SUnderland player tracked back and took it. You could hear the groans in the stands. What a lazy piece of shit he is. Brilliant passer, scores some beauties but he needs to be around a team that carries him -

The longer Sunday goes without a goal, the more anxious the crowd will become I feel. We need the crowd to be at it right from the off, and hopefully nick an early lead.

Middlesbrough are ok at the back, we seriously should be looking at Gibson if we don't go for Keane. They have the 10th ranked best defence with only 50 conceded, it's their lack of fire power which has screwed them over.

We need to keep Negredo quiet at the weekend, like most teams have done this season.

Problem is, I can't see us keeping a clean sheet at the weekend, I know Ming has been better recently, but this has twist and turn howler script written all over it.

Their record has gone arse about tit since the new manager came in. Scoring more but conceding loads. I think 24 in 10 ? Can't be arsed checking but something like that.
