Pepe Reina for me. I've never seen a good Pepe Reina, just either a mediocre or terrible one.

That's because you followed the club late though. Before 2010, he was excellent.

Is my answer not perfectly valid?

He was always hyped as this amazing player by other supporters, but he was nowhere near that level on most occasions.

joe allen

I want to know where the real Skully has gone .,,, the one from a season or two ago, the one with humour and reasonable observations. Not this shallow, pessimistic, hate the world and everything in it, version of Skully 🙁

I know its the wrong thing to say but I agree with the poster about Schweinsteiger...

what exactly the fuck does he do?

Its like when players are too sublty good, I never got Scholes either and people raved about him being streets ahead of everyone... nah... dont see it.

If you can't tell why Schweinsteiger and Scholes are good footballers, then football's just not for you.

Go and watch darts or something.

Well I suppose in the context of the original question, I guess I have to concede that your statement is valid.

He was really good though in his prime and folks' praise for him back then was well-deserved. Not so much in the latter seasons, unfortunately.

Paul Scholes is ginger.

It's perfectly acceptable to want to banish all thoughts and images of him from your mind.

Peoples perceptions of Reina are generally sound though.

He was boss. He was in our top three performers every week and looked Captain material, but he went shit and turned into a bit of a cunt.

It isn't that complicated for anyone to understand.

...but anytime you have ever seen them they have been nothing but actual poo.

Im watching one of my favourites tonight.
Marek Hamsik.
I have never seen this cunt do ANYTHING of note in any game ive watched him in ever.

My other big two would be Balotelli and Ribery who I must be massively unlucky having watched loads and they have both always been pretty fucking shit.
Start watching the Chavs and Citeh abit. Put the hex on them too.

I love Lukaku, and think he is destined to be one of the world's top strikers, but I can see why someone might think this. He hasn't quite learned how to utilise his physicality. The game he came on in the World cup against the US, he showed his worth (despite not having a great tournament). He completed changed that game. Drogba was about 26 or 27 before he learned how to make the absolute most of his many talents, and Lukaku may take time to completely fulfil his potential. He's going to be amazing, and on his day right now has the attributes to give any defence a torrid time.

At his peak he was often put into the same category as Zidane, Figo and Rivaldo. All players who I've seen produce numerous amazing displays. Maybe I was unlucky but never really caught one from Totti.

Not that category but a Gerrard-like figure with Gerrard-like displays for sure.

No doubt he has a lot of talent, I've just never seen him have a good game

Benzema, looks the part, but never seems to do anything whenever I have watched Madrid. Maybe he drags defenders away so Ronaldo can score all the goals, but apart from that? Balotelli, looked pretty good at the Euros a couple of years ago?
