Thread-title fooled me, thought it was going to be about Kasper Dolberg this. Well done OP.

Ah well, anyways, yeah Kane is very, very good but he's also got his limits. For instance he's seemingly a very slow starter (two seasons in a row now) and he's also yet to prove himself in Europe (both for club and country) and also for when the going gets tough. I think they more or less all have that to prove at Spurs still (including Eriksen and Dele Alli) which is also why they've still not really won anything.

I don't think he's in the Suarez/Sanchez-class either (at least not yet) so I'd defo have one of those ahead of him. I'd probably also have to include Robert Lewandowski in there. And Griezmann.

Money talks squigs and surely we can offer more than Milan or Inter and probs even Juventus. Blimey Milan or Inter are not even in the Europa league places and are heavily linked with him

Sorry but I think Squiggs has it right. By all accounts we offered more than the Arse for him in the first place, and he still didn't come here. Not gonna happen.

I know you are right JJ that we offered more to Barca for him but what about the wages? I still think we should never have let him slip through our fingers, it should have been a condition of the Suarez deal.
I know it won't happen but when you have a world class player - absolutely made for our system available for around £25mil if the papers are to be believed it just seems illogical we don't pursue him strongly.
