Thanks for sharing this.
Saves time I’m always rooting round for which channel the games on 🙂

A positive to that schedule is that if we sweep Benfica aside in the first leg (its obviously no gimme, but there is more chance of that than any other opponent) then we can rotate/rest in the second leg to be better rested going into the City Semi. A lot hinges on that first leg to set us up nicely for the two City games.

Luckily we can sub half the team in the cups (5 subs).

Other continued good news is that Dias is still out for City so Stones & Laporte are getting a lot of games in their legs - hopefully they'll both continue to get played in internationals and come back knackered going into that run.

FFS hold it in the North, both teams are from there !!

I think I am correct that they started having semi finals at Wembley when Arsenal & Spurs got drawn together in the 90s. Wembley was the only logical place to have it, so they put the other semi final there for "sporting integrity". There was no reason to continue the following seasons, apart from a money generator for Wembley, so it stuck.

Go back to logical neutral venues

Yes, that was supposed to be a one-off in 1991. They went back to other grounds after that (one of which tended to be Villa Park).

The idea of every semi final being at Wembley came about when they built the new Wembley Stadium and wanted to recoup the money.

Yeah I recall one being at Villa Park and the other at Old Trafford. I'd like to go back to that. It's obvious they just play the semis at Wembley for the money now

Benfica losing 2-0 away to Braga after an hour gone. Nunez and Mario, who were rested came on as sub in 2nd half as they trailed 1-0.

Note this is Citehs Dias Not our Diaz as I first thought when I read it. If it’s true a blow to them, but who knows at this stage..

The officiators for the City game- a joke;

Referee: Anthony Taylor (pictured). Assistants: Gary Beswick, Adam Nunn. Fourth official: Andre Marriner. VAR: Paul Tierney. Assistant VAR: Timothy Wood.

Anthony Taylor will referee Man City vs Liverpool on Sunday. Paul Tierney will be the VAR
Guess where they're both from... Manchester

Don't remember Taylor involved in anything controversial.
Paul Tierney is the one that clearly hates us

Apparently Liverpool have requested to have that Newcastle away game, in between the 2 CL semi finals, to be pushed back to an evening kick off.
It is currently scheduled for a 12.30 kick off.
