Our team still doesn't look good enough to mount any type of challenge.
We desperately need a new left defender, midfielder and striker.
I can't believe that we still haven't bought anyone to fill these positions. (Aurelio doesn't count)
The Poulsen deal will probably be completed next week. But I'm a bit sceptical. I'm not sure he's the same player. Why would he be good enough for us but not for Juve?

personally, i just happen to think that maxi is a better right winger than kuyt. i'm a sucker for free-flowing technical football, though, so obviously i'm going to think that. i guess ultimately my priority for a player in a creative position is that they are technically good rather than hard-working, as their main responsibility is creating goals.

i'd still favour kuyt for the big games and tough away days though, and i'm pretty sure roy will prefer him full stop - i get the impression that he's not overly enamoured of maxi, what with him not starting t'other night and the rumours of him being available for transfer.

i'd give jova a go on the left: he looks fairly promising and, more than anything, can offer a bit more pace to an attack that sorely lacks it.

Kuyt is shite on the LW, he needs to be played RW or as a striker. ATM he's worth keeping just because he's better than N'Gog as our back-up striker. However, Jovanovic immediately looked to bring more to the team in terms of fluidity and creativity than Kuyt. Early doors to have him replace Kuyt fullstop, but he looks a lot more promising. Maxi to play RW against weaker opposition, Kuyt when we need more strength.

Everyone knows Kuyt is hard working but that's a bit boring for a winger. Nice to have exciting players on the wings as much as I love Dirk he gets an 'A' for effort everytime.
