Early Carling cup tie: Exeter Away

The ties will take place in the week beginning Monday, August 22.

Carling Cup second-round draw in full: Millwall v Morecambe, Blackburn v Sheff Wed, Bury v Leicester, West Ham/Aldershot v Carlisle, Bournemouth v West Brom, Crystal Palace/Crawley v Wigan, Peterborough v Middlesbrough, Aston Villa v Hereford, Bristol City/Swindon v Southampton, Exeter v Liverpool, Everton v Sheff Utd, Brighton v Sunderland, Shrewsbury v Swansea, Charlton/Reading v Preston, Norwich v MK Dons, Northampton v Wolves, Wycombe v Nottm Forest, Bolton v Macclesfield, Burnley v Barnet, Scunthorpe v Newcastle, Leyton Orient v Bristol Rovers/Watford, Doncaster v Leeds, Cardiff v Huddersfield, QPR v Rochdale.

Wonder will Kenny rotate much for early rounds of this or will we be going all out to win it from the get go?

this is the last chance of a 'shop window' (before the transfer window is over) for many of the dross so I expect they (the dross) will play.

The two cups offer us by far the best opportunity of picking up some silverware this season - don't expect KK to be putting out teams filled with shop-window rejects or youngsters in any matches. We need to win every one of those matches, and look good doing so, to keep the spirits up and the KK roll going.

So early in the season with so many new signings still getting used to one another I wouldn't mind fielding a strong 11 to be honest, more games they play together the better they will be

we need to get rid of these players as they are costing us a fortune and if we have to play them in the CC so potential buyers can have a look at them before the transfer window is over then so be it.

Neil. Potentilal buyers have been watching them for ages and no fucker wants to buy them either because they cant afford their wages or think they are shite, or both.

Play a strong team in the CC and try to win it.

You think potential buyers don't know who they are ? Not like they are youngsters - YouTube them FFS !

I'd rather play kids than failures
[/quote]

Agreed. Rafa used to pick a mish mash mess of a team for these games, kids and shite played out of position and shoe horned into some shit formation. Cue outrage from fans when this jumble play like strangers and an old fourth division side plays them off the park and dumps them out of the competition. The media have a field day.

I'd play the kids/reserves with some lads on the fringe of the first team on the bench.

The only joy of not being in Europe is probably the players knowing their houses won't be robbed while they're away.

Watch Suso flourish this season...

will be interesting to see how he does , a fair few people are saying he sort of stalled a bit last year so he needs to kick on again or he'll just be another pacheco .
