I know there's limited space for certain positions but no cruyff and pele does seen to be attention seeking. Unless there's some bullshit, "it's not the best 11 individuals, but the best team" rationale. That's cobblers you'd actually have to see them play together to make that decision - of course it's 11 individuals and to miss those two out is shocking. Also van basten sub - good call!

I don't know about 'best of all time' superlatives, but I'm pretty sure that team could beat any other team of footballers that ever existed. Very well-balanced throughout, well done.

G Best aprt,your entire midfield and attack has a serious lack of pace. Plus you have Dalglish as a lone striker?? when he's always been a deep lying centre fwd with the likes of Rush ahead of him. Your team would get battered 🙂

Ive only gone for players who ive seen playing regularly. Theres no point in me putting Best, Puskas, Pele, Di stefano, Cryuff etc in there as i just never saw them play. I think the above is probably the best players i have seen in each position over a number of years in my lifetime of watching football.
 
I think at times some of the old greats get built up to the point where it's almost sacrilegious to suggest the modern day stars are as good or better.

For example, I don't think anyone should have to make excuses for putting Ronaldo (the real one) in their side.
