Ban them. Doing my head in, there is no chance you can hear singing or anything.
There's no debate. They destroy the atmosphere and are a certainty to cause noise induced hearing loss.

Football has always been about the songs and crowd reactions, obviously i cant vouch for hearing the crowd at the game, but on the box its annoying as fuck.

Surely the point of having the tournament in South Africa or any country for that matter is to allow the local culture to influence the tournament in its own style, if thats how south africans enjoy football then fair enough. i hardly notice it anymore, banning them would go against everything the world cup supposedly stands for

watching the holland game (via stream) and its the first time I've heard them (I've been watching games at the pub). those guys don't even stop for half time. ha ha
I can't believe anyone actually likes them. It's a boring fucking drone. I suppose it suits the football at this World Cup so far, but I'm sure if they were silenced, teams would suddenly start playing better.

No, the point of staging the WC in a country/region is to bring big-time football to that country/region, not the other way around. It's the World Cup, not the S.Africa Cup with invited guests. I vote get rid.

they're awful. seems a bit harsh to ban them, but i struggle to believe anyone saying they like them, it's like having a bluebottle in your ear for 90 minutes.
