Serious concerns about that side, dropping Coutinho who is in the best form of his career is a bizarre decision. A lot of pressure on Solanke and Ox to justify the selection. Fat Sam will be delirious reading that line up

Terrible side. Don't see the logic in dropping the players we have for one of the biggest games of the season. Especially when it's Ox and Solanke coming in for them. Not bad players, but haven't set the world alight, nor played in a Merseyside derby before.

We should be delirious reading their lineup.

Pickford in goal, 2 youngsters at the back, Wi(lol)iams, Martina v Salah, Mane v Kenny.

If they don't crack within the first 45mins, they will when we bring Couts and Firmino on when their legs are tired.

We've just got to ensure we don't let them score a cheap goal from a set piece.

I expected him to drop one of the Brazilians, not both of them.

But Ox, Solanke and Robertson all played well when called upon. And Brazilians are not known to thrive in the cold so, I'm hopeful.

That side should be strong enough, & I actually quite like the possibilities it gives us upfront.

Solanke has strength & pace, Chamberlain has a decent engine & pace & is pretty strong, Salah & Mane can tear them apart with pace & trickery.

Just for good measure we Firmino & Coutinho on the bench should we need them.

We obviously (& rightly) expects a dogs of war aggressive Everton today, & this side is probably the best we have to combat that.

Everton have scored 9 without reply in 3 games v poor teams but they’ll be buzzing going into this game, I’d of got the big guns from the start and put the game to bed early.

Dropping courtinho is a big call.

We should have made these changes for the West Bromwich game in the week not the derby. Big chance for Everton to cause an upset.

Ox and Solanke give us a more physical presence over the Brazilians.

Ings to get the winner.

This was my thinking as well, and probably Klopp's. Everton will be physical and fight for every ball. With Milner, Ox and Solanke we get more of that.
This side has, as Mystic said, Mane and Salah in it. Its not a bad side at all, and we have some options on the bench.

I bet this game is a close call, Alladice has won with all his teams at anfield he’s managed, 2-1 to us..
