Liverpool, who slashed their back-room staff before the FA Cup semi-final win over Everton, have made more sackings ahead of the Wembley showpiece against Chelsea on Saturday.
It is understood two executives have been shown the door for alleged performance issues, with the strange Fenway Sports Group ownership duo of John Henry and Tom Werner wanting the wage bill significantly reduced before the financial year ends in July.
The latest casualties are Jean Crisp, the head of customer experience, and Stephen Turner, the head of international soccer schools. The pair were part of the commercial team led by Graham Bartlett. He left Anfield because his family couldn’t settle on Merseyside.
The timing, which follows director of football Damien Comolli and sports medicine chief Peter Brukner leaving ahead of the club’s last trip to Wembley, is especially surprising because Crisp would have been involved in all the ticketing issues for the FA Cup final. Liverpool declined to comment for legal reasons.

Wanting the wage bill reduced? Most of the wankbags playing tonight earn in a week what these dudes earn a year. I know where my cull would start.

With all these cuts it wouldn't surprise me if the clubs in a financial mess again, there could be more players going out than coming in and with no CL there maybe no big signings.

Who's Waller? Not Rik?

Ha ha! No, our old Doc Waller:

What's wrong with him? Can't remember him being here.

He helped save Houllier's life. Decent bloke, too, but it seems a backward step to replace one of the most progressive sports scientists in the world with a very traditional club doc. I don't know that we are, but I've heard that rumour and there he was sitting with Gerrard and Co tonight.

why did the old doctor have too much power over selections, that we had to get rid when he was supposed to so good? who did he report to?

You mean Bruckner? I'm not sure - there's a long thread on the topic somewhere. He seemed to dominate Woy, whereas Kenny was more independent. It just seems odd we turned to Bruckner when we supposedly fell behind in terms of sports science, and now, if the rumours are true, we're going back to an old-fashioned club doc.

Thats him, I seem to recall Bruckner had issues with rafa too (or do I have my wires crossed).

just surprised how a doctor could get so powerful.

Get Gary Lewin from england, he was good for arsenal or so the reports said......

I'd like to think that everyone addressed Bruckner as DOK-TOR like all the baddies used to in the old Dr Who.

If we're searching for a new doctor to look after this squad then I quite like the look of this Shipman guy. When he tells you he's treated Downing and he can't play you can probably take his word for it.
