The Charity Shield

didnt watch I never do unless we are in it, its just hype fest for Sky Sports, strangely though the last 5 seasons the charity shield winner has gone on to take the title so thats a strong omen for Utd if you believe in that sort of thing.

Im not sure it really tells us anything about the relative strengths of the two favourites though, Scholes Giggs Neville etc might look decent for 90 minutes after a 3 month rest but we all know they are getting progressively less effective and come Nov/Dec Id fancy Essien when back to 100% to completely bully that Utd team, same with Drogba

Ferguson will be mouthing off about this as a statement of intent as usual but it means very little, they needed this far more pyschologicaly than Chelsea, who as current double winners can bruch this off as a mere training excercise

Tyler and Gray were fucking laughable in their OTT praise for Rooney in everything he did. No mention of the fact he played like a cunt all summer and has since been seen smoking falling out of nightclubs.

I must be the only one who thinks hernandez looks average

I said it the other day. About the time when I read cocknose banging on about how he achieved a stroke of genius by signing him for 8m odd - claiming that his scintillating performances in the World Cup meant they'd have had to pay three times that if they'd waited.

Twat.

Don't worry about it. We got Lucas for 6M and when he starts playing regularly for Brazil, well...

If he is the "game opener" there´s no one better around. His passing is 100% better than Mascheranos, simply one of the few players who combine physical strength, technical abilities and tactical intelligence..

United's home shirt is bloody awful.

Also, why has Chelsea got red on their home shirt and Arsenal pink on theirs? It looks shit.

Chelsea's shirt also seems to be the same 'template' as our previous one. Surely adidas would have come up with a new version?

It was an open game which obviously both teams didnt give a shit about. Either way its a shit trophy and the only trophy united fans will celebrate this season

I'm quiffing, but did anyone mention that Carrick played two days after he was declared unfit for England's squad for this wednesday?
