Not to the next match, but to each match in general
Do any regular match goers feel like the atmosphere has taken a severe turn for the worse in recent years, not due to poor performances, but down to the change in the pre-match ritual.
Obviously i can only compare from what I know, but over the last 4 years (since rafas season after coming 2nd), the order of music before the match has changed. It used to be YNWA, the crowd applauds, then the Kop would sing the players names, the players would turn and applaud the fans.
Recently its, YNWA, PL music, kick off.
Theres no opportunity to sing for Gerrard pre match, or sing for luis. Does anyone feel this change in running order has upset the balance between players and fans, helping the current downturn over the past few years?
