is apperantly in advanced talks with CSKA Moscow.

"Voronin and Dossena are both in the final stages of negotiations for their departure, after being told they would not play again for the club.

Voronin is poised to complete a near £1.5m switch to Dynamo Moscow, after talks yesterday to conclude the deal."

Selling Dossena and Voronin for a combined fee of 6 mill £. Thats not bad considering.
500k will probably be paid to AM for Maxi. But that leaves us with a bit of money for one more transfer.

We're also linked with Chamakh today, The Times says we want to offer him a pre contract about a free transfer move this summer.

I know fuck all's actually been sealed so far in this window, but it's clear what Benitez's intentions are and it's difficult to argue with any of them.

FiveLive are just reporting that Birmingham have made an approach for Ryan Babel

I want him to go to Spain or Italy. It's better he doesn't stay in England ...

So that he wouldn't come back and bite us in the ass?

I think Brum offered 8m pounds for him?

The Independent are saying it's an £8m bid for Babel from Birmingham, but we want nearer the £11.7m we paid.

For 8 mill £ he can go to Brum for all that I care.

He probably doesn't want to move there though. Only Barca, Inter, AC Milan or Real would do for that lad..

I still like Ryan Babel, but I can't see him developing under Benitez and it may be time for a move elsewhere.

I wish we were in the luxurious position of being able to hold onto him and seeing what happens, however 8M is a decent price to be getting back providing we use it well.

I think 8m for him would be good for us, but obviously Benitez and Purslow have got other ideas. Can we really get 10+m for Ryan?

Rafa for president! He´s shipping out the dead wood...now sell Lucas and bring in a back up striker.

Could we be looking at Arda Turan if we sell Babel?

That would really be fantastic....

Jesus Christ, I´m (almost) feeling excited.

I think it's more likely we use that money to pay off some of our debts.
[/quote]

I don't. Not this window anyhow.

It has to be about steadying the ship and protecting their investment by bringing in better quality players. It's solid business sense to fully spend any money we receive, as well as spending some other money providing we have it

Missing out on the CL could cost us big time.

hahahaha, what a spoil sport....

(even though I will not believe until it is done and dusted)

I'd snap their fucking hands off at £8m, but Rafa and co must feel they can get more, I just hope it doesn't backfire on them. If they come back at £9m then we shouldn't play games, we should just take it.

hooray so all we have left is termites

According to the Echo, he has travelled to Moscow and is in talks with Dinamo about a transfer. They expect him to sign in the next few days.

CSKA is also interested.

Like has been mentioned in other threads, the money we get for these guys is only important if it is pumped back into new signings. If the Yanks are going to take it and pay bills with it, then there is no point selling them.

If he's off our paytroll i dont care if the fees are going to Tiger woods legal costs caused by the whores he's fucked.

is he gone yet is he gone yet is he gone yet?

"He has received a concrete offer from a Russian top-flight outfit as he is having the final say," Golovach told Ukrainian newspaper Gaseta.

"In terms of his Liverpool deal it is about a cancellation right now, not about a new loan transfer."

Am I reading too much into this? Does this mean its a free transfer where we won't be getting even the 1.5m transfer fee touted by the press of late?

I think its more of a translation thing. I'm thinking it means Voronin's time here has come to an end.

Drunkenness is fleeting, alas.

Considering its the club money that's gone to his hair cream and his bint's leopard suit, i think paytroll fits well ;D

"With Voronin we were talking with Dynamo Moscow and it's also very close. The player is talking with them and we're also just waiting for the paperwork.

"The weather conditions have made it impossible to progress with these things but I think it could be done within a few hours."
