The black card

Is this inbetween a yellow card and a red? I think this could work in football for a 2nd yellow offence.

I think it's to stop the professional fouls, you know the cynical stuff that happens.

What about the yellow card?

Racist too.

Red Card is offensive to native Americans & the Green Card is offensive to migrant workers, so that won't work. The Pink Card would open a whole new world of trouble and I'm not even going to suggest a brown card.

A white card would probably start a small war.

I recommend replacing these with a nice peach colour and a warm cerise. The new card can then be a striking shade of indigo.

Oh yes the calming effect of peach would help diffuse any tensions on the pitch.

New rule to be introduced into GAA matches (Gaelic football and hurling). If a player commits a foul that doesn't warrant a sending off they will be shown a black card meaning they have to be substituted.

I think it could be a good idea.

I'm still not sure of how it's meant to work. What happens if all 6 subs have already been used? Also, will it only be shown for an "inbetween yellow and red" offence, or will it be shown for offences lesser than a yellow?

I'm assuming the yellow card hasn't been done away with. I know I could Google it, but I just want a simple answer(s).

I think if the subs have been used then the player has to leave the pitch with no replacement allowed.

It's a bit mental, though, isn't it? How many frees are handed out in any one game? So for each one of those, the offending player will get a black card? There'll be no players left on the pitch.

It's not every free though, it's only arguing with a ref, or pulling down a player. Lesser frees won't warrant it.

In soccer they could do with black cards for arguing with a ref and for overplaying an injury. That would sort a lot of the shit out.

Ah, right. Well that makes a lot more sense. In that case, I'd probably consider it a good idea. But I think a trial would be wise.

I think it is a trial, the GAA tend to bring in new rules all the time and get rid of them if they aren't working.
