The Best LFC Manager in 25 years?

Given that Kenny left in 91, presumably we can include him in the list and take account of what he did right from the beginning of his tenure...therefore I'm going with:

1. Dalglish
2. Benitez
3. Houllier
4. Evans
5. Souness
6. Rodgers
7. Moran
8. Hodgson

In 96/97 under Roy we had a run at the league not unlike last season...five point lead at one stage before fading to 3rd...so that surely matches Rodgers' effort in 13/14.

Fair points, Lefty.

Tinto: I'd replace Rodgers if Ancelotti were up for the job, because it's Ancelotti and because I've always had doubts about the idea of appointing a young manager to the LFC job anyway. If Klopp's the alternative I'm not convinced the time is right, after the season he's just had. If in a year's time he's recharged his batteries and hasn't taken another job, and if Rodgers doesn't get a minimum of a CL place next season, that'll be a different story.

Agree

Rodgers is well ahead of Souness for me. Souness was a terrible manager.
Winning the FA cup doesnt change the fact that he only won 40% of his games in charge.
Shocking transfer dealings aswell.

You probably have to include Phil Thompson as well I suppose?

If it's 24 years, as I assume was meant, it'd be something like this:
1. Benitez
2. Houllier
3. Evans
4. Souness
5. Rodgers
6. Dalglish
7. Moran
8. Hodgson
