Didn't the Arsenal fans hate him and rejoice when he was sacked off?

That cup game against us aside, I seem to remember his record was poor.

To be fair i dont think he suited their style of play. He hardly played also..

Arsenal need quick - nippy players in the centre of the park or it would be quite easy to get bypassed completely. i think if a team actually gave him a chance he would be very good.. He clearly struggles with rotation and changing roles frequently so i doubt if we are the right team for him.
Would be nice as a back up for Torres though...

If we are completely strapped for cash surely his wages and a possible loan fee would cost around 3.5 - 4 million anyway??

Your own words "He clearly struggles with rotation" & "Would be nice as a back up" tell a story.

I'm sure he played 30 or so games for Arsenal and scored about 8 goals, 4 of which were in 1 game, against our 'starlets'. Not great.

He's been a bit part player for Real Madrid and Arsenal, and managed 10 goals a season. Last year he played 36 games for a struggeling Roma and scored 11 goals. He'll get you some goals and contribute. No doubt about that.

I'd take him on loan in a heartbeat. His size and physique is something we really lack upfront.

Not great , but better than the alternative

Would N'Gog be worse than that? I'm not sure.

You can't seriously be suggesting that N'gog is a better alternative than Baptista?

Well, seeing as we play in England, not Rome (which is in Italy), Baptista scored 3 goals in 24 Premiership games for Arsenal, according to Wiki. N'Gog has 3 in 15 in his English career, most games from the bench I would imagine.
I'm not for a second suggesting that N'Gog is Pele but neither is The Fucking Beast. That's for sure.

The alternative was nothing.

Was awful for Arsenal bar the odd burst into the box which mainly consisted of shoving everyone else out of the way. He was shocking for Roma against Arsenal in the Champions League as well. It would be risky, to say the least

There you again. As if Liverpool fans care. Don't they have a forum for gooners? 'i-did-not-c-it.com?
