I think you said you thought we would lose so it shouldn't have been a surprise even though it always hurts when we lose.

I didn't think we'd beat Blackburn and I thought we'd lose today however I do think we can win our next three if Torres and Gerrard stay fit.

Do that and we should be 5th knocking the fourth spot door which is all we can hope for at the moment until we get some confidence back.

The worst thing about today was how quickly we gave up after going 2-1 down. That was depressing and not even the presence of Torres stopped that.

Can anyone remember such a lifeless second performance? Those players are not responding to anything the management are telling are telling them. We were fucking shot I'm the second half. I'm fucking depressed.

He was playing very well up until his unfortunate OG (how many is that we've had this season ?) and I doubt there are (m)any defenders out there that would have stopped Arshavin's moment of brilliance. After that I think the OG got to him ... as it did the rest of the team.

Fact is though that, despite losing our way in the 2nd half, we were the better team and should have had this wrapped up 3-0 by HT, a poor miss by Torres and Webb's moment of temporary blindness (I hope his eyes explode when he sees the replay) cost us 3 points because Arsenal didn't look capable of even touching us in the first half.

I know this isn't the suggeation thread in the General Forum but can we ban poster who only come on here when we lose.
I really don't think they are Liverpool fans at all and are on a wind up.

one of the few class players we have.
 
We've got a very good first XI (or first X at least, given that Lucas is average and Aquilani totally unproven) but our confidence is totally shot. Every time we concede we look like we want to give up. And after five years of buying his own players, the manager is the only one who can take the blame for that.

johnson is class leave him alone the first goal was bad luck and the second was a great goal by arshavin johnson did well to shut him down .
 
We shouldn't be in a position were Lucas, Degen or N'Gog should be involved in games like this.
I'm not having a pop at N'Gog, who have been pretty good this season.

But not having another class striker is fucking absurd

I agree. But with the run we're on it doesn't take much for the player's head's to drop, an equalising goal is all it takes. The goal turned the whole game around.
 
I thought kuyt and yossi were absolutely woeful. both of them running around that they haven't a clue of tactics, position or anything.

Yossi was ... don't know where his head was tonight. Kuyt started off shite but then, when we were playing our best football, he was often involved. 2nd half was a different matter.

On the money bunny.
Todays match was a carbon copy of so many other ones this season where we took the lead should have built on our lead and when we didn't it ended up costing us big time.

Our self belief looks fairly shot at the momant and it is up to the manager to restore it.
I am no longer sure if Rafa is capable of doing that.

the only players to improve on yossi and kuyt are ronaldo and messi?
we'd improve on the first team with someone who could completely run down the wing and cross. johnson at right midfield would be an imrovement on kuyt
