Just wondering - the amount of players who've played for Argentina in the last few years in the attacking midfield/second striker position is staggering.

Aimar
Saviola
D’Alessandro
Tevez
Romagnoli
Messi
Martinez
Lavezzi
Aguero
Zarate

Plus there are a number of new kids on the block who'll probably end up playing there as well.

Pastore
Di Santo
Gaitan
De Federico
Iturbe

That's quite crazy. Probably the effect of two generations wanting to be the next Maradona. Is there any other country with such a glut of quality players in one position?

Spain have got it going on the GK department as well.

The AM / short stocky striker thing in Argentina is mental though.

England, overpaid chavs?

Sweden, crap?

England CD:s?
Carra
Terry
Upson
Ferdinan x2
King
Jagielka
Cahill
Woodgate
Dawson
Shawcross

P. Jones
Smalling

England - Gerrards and Carras and Butchers

Denmark - European Brazilians and Footballing Angels that everyone one 6CM loves to bits. Apart from Poulsen. And Bendtner. And Piechnik... and KHL? ...ah well.

Spain - Tippy Tappy & El Cunts

Italy - Ball playing defenders and stupendous goalies spiced up with the odd almost godlike AM.

Belgium - Brick walls and Africans

France - Extremely Gifted Africans and Platini

But yeah in terms of type of footballers the Argies wins it hands down. That ammount of almost identically build and brilliant AMs are downright marvellous.

Holland - Gifted, attacking-minded and seriously unsporting. Apart from Gullitt, he was awesome and nice.

They are. Bergkamp and Gullitt mostly were on the pitch too.

Hans van Breukelen, Rijkaard, Van Bommel, Cruyff, Robben, Sneijder, Davids and van Persie, to mention a few, not so much.

The Welsh save all their collective talent for the left wing.

But we do it well.
