Wilson is not homegrown. The rule states that only players belonging to the English and Welsh FA are considered homegrown.

Like I wrote before:
Home grown rules for dummies:

1. No team may have more than 25 players over the age of 21.
2. Of those 25 players, no team may have more than 17 “foreign-grown†players over the age of 21

It is worth it to note that you don’t have to name 8 home grown players in fact you don’t need to have 25 players either. The only criteria you have to meet is not exceeding 17 foreign players in your squad.

Our 13 foreign players over 21:

1. Reina
2. Aurelio
3. Sktel
4. Agger
5. Kyrgiakos
6. Lucas
7. Poulsen
8 .Meireles
9. Maxi Rodriguez
10. Jovanovic
11. Torres

I suppose this 25 rule does limit Man City's stockpiling and rewards teams who develop and give young lads a chance. Perhaps one of our youngsters will claim a first team place as a result.

Its a Squad game. The youngsters will get their chance to make an impression. Its up to them to prove that they are better than the shit experienced ones.
