Arbeloa deserves to have more than 4pts too, but that's just the inescapable problem of voting for a top 3: consistent but unspectacular players, and defenders in particular, tend not to get the votes they deserve.

The new system is better than last season's though, Morse, and I'm enjoying following it. Thanks, and keep up the good work...

I'm quite happy with Mascherano in second personally. He's the classic example of a player who's probably had a good game if you don't notice him, much like Arbeloa (agree with Bunnyboiler about him BTW). Torres has been mustard lately but Mascherano's a good shout over the whole of the season so far.

I think that although Torres is class, we haven't seen enough of him yet in blistering form. He has had 3 or 4 top games but over the course of the season he will increase his score for sure.

Dunno about Pennant - he didn't score enough even when he was playing (and it remains to be seen how many games he's going to get when he's available again - in fact I wouldn't bet against his being sold now). I'm hopeful about the others you mention though.
