I do quite like N'gog actually but i just think this game might be too much for him, well to start in.

Babel pace and direct play can cause them problems on the counter attack.

We can bring N'gog and Aquilani on 2nd half if needs must.
 
We won't play 433, that's for certain.

That looks depressingly accurate.
 
Spider has it right.. Unfortunately.

He should be giving Aquilani a go.. if he gets injured he almost has the whole post/pre season to get ready for next year.

Id rather see Gerrard on the left and Aquilani in a more advanced attacking role.

Am i correct in saying that they have very attacking minded fullbacks??

I know, its bullshit tho! Back in November it was all about Aquilani saving our season, nows hes lucky to get a five minute cameo while fully fit! Bullshit Rafa, absolute bullshit!

To be fair, this probably is the kind of game where you need two DMs. Atletico, like Porto, are very attack-minded, and away from home we need to be solid and try to catch them on the counter. I'd start with:

Reina

Magic - Carra - Zorba - Agger

Mascherano - Lucas

Kuyt - Gerrard - Babel

Wash


Yossi and Aquilani are better footballers than Wash and Lucas, I agree wholeheartedly, but I'm not sure either are really what we need in Madrid. Then again, it would be nice to see Yossi start on the right for a change, so I wouldn't mind if Rafa dropped Wash and played Kuyt up front. I'd just worry slightly about a right flank of Magic and Yossi being strong enough defensively.

Yossi has actually been very effective on the left in the last few games, and the fact that Babel got some time up front against the Hammers (looking good too) might just get him the gig. I hope so.
 
It all seems a bit pointless putting Aqua in there. He doesn't trust him in the Premiership against shite so he's not going to trust him on the continent in a semi final.

I wouldn't be too disappointed with that, but I think Bunny's concern with the defensive combo of Yossi and Magic will be echoed in Rafa's 11.
