People are bang on that we look much more likely going forward, but likely to self destruct at the back at any point.
 
Thank fuck for that.

West Ham were / are shit and we made a real meal of it. Our defence has looked woeful whenever we've come up against a half decent attacker (and that's being kind). We suffered similar issues last season and we really need to cut it out if we intend to challenge.
 
West Ham away is a tricky game.

We did well to win that, played a bit poo and defended like turds for chunks of the match.

Quite happy with the shift Babel put in and Torres was as instrumental as ever

Good job lads!

Babel was, more or less, his usual self when he came on but very well done to the lad for that cross. Nice to see Fernando give credit where credit is due.

We actually played well. It's just our defending was abissmal, truly truly awful. We had the now normal non existant marking from set-pieces but also had our 2 centre-backs give the ball away, get caught in possession and generally put in one of the worse performances as a pairing I have seen for an age.

If we were just 'decent' at the back we would have been comfortable today.

Overall, we didn't play that badly... in patches we played very well... it's just that at other times we were really sloppy, especially at the back.

You don't score 3 goals away from home whilst playing badly.
