What makes you right and the others wrong?

To be fair, with much the same squads measured over the course of a season, they finished well off our pace last year. So saying they're a better team is based on current form rather than assessing overall quality, proven over the course of a full season.

Yeah they're a good side, yeah they've got some really good players, but better than a team with Gerrard, Torres, Mascherano, Agger, Carragher, Johnson, Aqauilani and Kuyt?

No fucking chance.

To be fair, saying that we're a better team is simply based on last years form in contrast to basing it on this seasons form.

I agree with you to an extent, Mark. If I had to pick the best players I'd have almost everyone you've listed there in a combination of the two teams. But if you want to get right down to it, the reality is that you've just listed the best individuals in the two squads - the winner of the match and the highest position on the table will go to the best team. Irrespective of the players on show Villa have shown throughout the season thus far that they're the better team.

They have showed better form arguably.

I just don't think our bad run of games changes the fact that we're the better team.

Form is temporary...

from memory they gave us a right trouncing earlier in the season. |Tonight will be a good test for us.
[/quote]

The score line flattered them. An own goal, a penalty and header from a corner.

So that's two out of three goals from a dead ball situation. It doesn't flatter them, we're rather shite at defending set pieces this season.

The own goal came from a set piece too. The score line did flatter them, it's not like they played us off the park.

Says it all then. We need to focus 110% and no less.
