This thread is a recipe for disaster 🙂

Give a lawyer a brief and he makes a meal out of it.

Plausible. Acceptable. Benefit of doubt. On the one hand. Balance of probability. Bah humbug.

This is an excellent outcome and proof, if it was needed; that the matter was dealt with incorrectly at the time.

It has also helped spur Suarez on to become an even better and committed player for the club.

This attempt to unsettle Suarez has backfired spectacularly, and led to him becoming one of the best players in the League.

It's completely plausible, since when did you become such an expert in the structure and flow of Spanish conversation anyway?

Forget about the language, when did any footballer ever respond in such a manner in the heat of the moment?

You need to consider the context it was said it, when you do it looks ridiculous

Actually Evra said: "Porque me diste un golpe", which does not mean why did you foul me, more like why did you do hit me so hard. Suarez claims to have said, "que habia sido una falta normal" which means it was just a normal foul.

Or to translate:
"Feck sake man, that was an awful tackle, you could have broken my leg"
"Relax man, it was just a normal tackle, I've seen worse from Sahin"

Edit: Just read back on the incident, and it was jostling in the box. But either way.

It really doesn't, and just read what Gerry posted, completely feasible, a lot more feasible than Evra telling a word of the truth.

I think we dealt with it wrongly, but in hindsight, it's the reason why Suarez is here. Unlike Ajax, the club and most of the fans stood by him. The fans attached themselves to him even more, and he's returned the 'favor' by committing himself to the club.

As you say, he's now amongst the best players in the league (if not the best) and without the right signings over the next two windows, our loyalty and his loyalty will be rewarded with some nice trophies.
