What the feck are clubs getting involved in funding public school educations? It all sounds very peculiar and very dodgy. Offer them a contract, maybe some promises about accommodation, but that's it. The parents sound like they require a visit from the social services, or at least a psychiatrist.
 
It's the logical step. I mean look at Man City's academy. The club teamed up with one of the best private schools in Manchester so the kids get educated and from a reputable school. No wonder parents are happy to send their kids there.

I think even Dantes would be able to win this case.

When the offer was made, the inducement wasn't forbidden. In fact it was merely taking on something Stoke were already doing.

The rules changed, LFC clarified whether they could make the offer - they couldn't, so - retracted.

So LFC have actually followed the rules.

You know why, because winning the case is all I care about and no force in this universe could stop me. Sadly, the club are staffed by a bunch of naïve fools who think a legal case is an opportunity to present your side of the story and trust that the truth will out. Two years, thank you, fuck you, good bye. Nice. Real fucking nice.

Rule number one: Always keep your fucking mouth shut and let your lawyer handle it. Rule number two: If you really must open your fucking mouth, then it should be in private, and it should be to tell your lawyer in these exact words "You dumb motherfucker, you're fired, I'm hiring dantes". It's really not that complicated.

While I know what you mean, I had a degree of sympathy for Ziege. He did well at LB/LM at times in the Treble season, esp.when we knocked Roma out and he was MOTM in both games for me, so of course GH promptly dropped him for the next game. Ziege went to see GH to have it out with him and, while some managers like players to be upset enough to protest at being dropped, GH (whatever his strengths in other respects) was at the other end of the spectrum. Not his finest hour IMO and it cost us a player who could and should have done well for us in the next few seasons.
