SCM's least favourite muppet- There was a poll

I haven't seen anyone mention that he has been given a new five year contract.
The club must have high hopes for the lad.
Expect to see a good bit more of him in the first team this coming season.

It was a payrise really. He only signed a new deal 5 months ago. I'm not sure what the point was exactly but yeah he's clearly held in high regard. Clyne will have to watch his back next season.

I've only really seen him in the first team but bar that crazy ass week starting eleven that played stoke ,he's looked ace in every match I've seen him .he certainly more positive on the ball than clyne

He might get games on the right of midfield when/if Klopp wants to stretch particular opponents wide and/or play a more defensive midfield against them.

I Would advocate the sale of clyne. Switch Milner to the right side and have taa as his understudy. He will probably make the position his own by the end of the season.

Disagree. For one thing we don't have a left back to replace him on that side, and for another Clyne's defending is still quality even if he's lost his attacking mojo somewhere along the line.

100% disagree, it's great to have a full back who can actually defend

If we sign Robertson I could see us starting him on the left and Milner on the right versus weaker opposition... I think we'd see improved attacking play on both flanks if that were the case. Against the stronger sides, I still would expect Milner and Clyne to be first choice.

I don't think Clyne is much good. No bette than Johnson really. TAA could be better in the long run.

Johnson had a few good seasons, but then more or less saw himself as Garrincha more than Phil Neal. He would give 100% on attacking runs and about 75% when tracking back. Hope Clyne doesn't end up there... cause I just want a reliable full back and spend money on other positions.
