Swansea Match Thread

In fairness I think the main reason we had no chances in the first half was that our forwards put together some good moves, but didn't get the run of the ball.

Well, if you ignore all the bad bits of that game, it was fucking great! We really turned it around after a dismal first half, with the extra running and presence of Sturridge making a difference.

Not sure anyone had a great game, but we can leave that for the post-match thread.

(Karius, look away now, you fucking gimp)

Milner had a fantastic game - Karius less so

That was tough. First half looked like the first half against Arsenal - completely shit. Second half different team turned up and we were boss. But that pissing about in our box has got to stop.

I know us fans are a bit myopic but sometimes you just have to give the opposition some credit. They were brilliant at pressing us in that first half, they out Liverpooled us if you like. But, as we know only so well from the past few seasons, it is almost impossible to maintain that for 90 mins.

that chance for swansea at the end is criminal by us. we are fucking dickheads.

on a positive note, it's the kind of last minute let off which will completely ruin the rest of the day for united fans.

Surely Karius has to come for that ball!

On another positive point second in the league and 5 away games out of 7. Fucking brilliant

I suppose we just accept the fact that we'll never have a decent keeper or be able to defend set pieces again and try not to think about it

I think it's for the best. I just assume every set piece or deep cross will end up behind our keeper. If it doesn't, I feel like we've scored. It's great.

Fwiw I'm a huge Clyne fan, but that first spell today he & matip were all at sea. Thankfully they both settled down.

Apart from the first twenty minutes, including fucking up & letting them score from the corner in the process.

I wouldn't call that letting them score and having two guys fight it out to tap it in on the line is criminal from the rest of the back 5.

Milner on the other hand I thought was very poor for the most part but credit for the peno and his 100% work rate

Sensational result all things considered

Are you mad

No he was shite and I've been a huge fan of him at left back, he made so many poor decisions going forward and defensively.

Great penalty and work rate to not drop his head but he was awful 1st half and for parts of the 2nd

Origi has been quite sloppy since getting back into the team, wouldn't be surprised if Ings is given a chance soon
