Supporting two clubs

A lad I worked with before said he supported Liverpool, but he had a soft spot for Chelsea. I promptly told him that he didn't support Liverpool.

I play football with a lad who loves football but doesn't support anyone. Work that out

I actually know of a few football players who don't support anyone. To them it's just an art form and whoever's good, is good.

I guess once you are a professional / part of it, it's hard to be a fan of anyone. In our team, I can only think of Henderson who's a proper "fan"

I hope you have given him pelters this morning..

Wenger does not do Europe.. Same shit differant season.. no point being in a competition if you are not going to set yourself up to win the thing..

I was at a conference in Birmingham years ago, and Utd were playing a European match, that was being shown in the conf bar in the evening. When the opposition scored I cheered and about 500 people turned round and stared at me completely aghast. This was followed by mutterings of always supporting the English team ....

Hahaha. I fucking hate that attitude.

It makes no fucking sense whatsoever & completely ignores the concept of rivalry & competitiveness.

On a distantly related note, the response I got at Wembley in the 2012 FA Cup final, when I was in the posh corporate seats & booed the National Anthem, was similarly amusing, This time the mutterings were "I say! You wouldn't hear that at Twickers ... "

When Chelsea played Bayern Munich in the Champion's League final I turned up at the pub wearing a pair of Adidas Munchen and ordered German beer for the whole match. My mate, who is a Sunderland fan, was so disgusted that he moved to the other side of the bar and shouted abuse at me throughout.

I think it's usually fans of teams who will never actually win a European cup themselves.

Similarly to attitudes to England, it's usually lower division or shite teams that go all out Engurlund.

Got to admit the only teams I actively want to see lose, just because of who they are, are the Mancs and the blueslime. The others are of zero concern to me one way or the other. Maybe it's because my dad was a Gooner.
