Sunday's other games...

He scored a fucking belter in his last game, too

Remember when we nearly signed Bowyer for 9m?

Wow.

Talented, but doesn't look much like a footballer, has no real pace, but still gets about. Like Murphy in some ways, except more vicious and stupid

I vouched for bowyer for AGES. Always rated him.

Bit like you and Ziege if I remember correctly?

I remember Thommo saying something along the lines of we were about to sign Bowyer and asked him to come to a training camp in Switzerland with us. He said he didn't know where his passport was and chose to go on the piss with Rio instead of finding it.

I never wanted him actually. He was great in Germany & Boro's 3-5-2 in the wide-left berth. We never did, and were never going to play like that, so I was shcoked at his signature.

Still, he was better than Bjornebye.

I was quite excited when he was pictured at Anfield before that move collapsed.

Yes, a horrible twat, but he was versatile, scored goals and could have filled the gaping hole on the right of our midfield

His career has been a bit wasted since then

And Mark Kennedy.

less than a year (I think) later he moved to West Ham for £500k

That was more to do with his falling-out at Leeds than any massive drop in worth and ability though George.

True.

Gonna be interesting to see if he keeps his place in that Brum team after McLeish gets to start waxing Yeung's 40-50M odd in January.

Yeah, just funny how things go though. From £9m to Liverpool to £500k to West Ham in less than a year.

It's called the 'reverse Parry-effect'.

I was excited about Ziege coming too, what a pity it didn't work out like we had hoped.
The wide left berth as outlined above seems to be Dossenna prefered position aswel. At least Ziege wasn't fat though.

The likes of Birmingham and Hull City have suddenly picked up form. Bolton, Portsmouth and Wolves look set for a troubled December.

Question: Does cech have to wear that skull cap for the rest of his career?
[/quote]

Probably an insurance requirement.

Cole plays another exquisite ball into the box for a replica of the Drogba goal, except this time Vermaelen scores

2-0, obvious Champions

It's quite amusing how United fans haven't noticed this yet.

Andy Gray gets really excited when he thinks he's first to spot a decision like a goal being disallowed.

"NO GOAL... the Ref has blown... NO GOAL!"

Yeah, thanks for that. What would we do without you Andy!
