Last year, Arsenal got to the Champions League because of RvP. They lost him and their team became rather normal.

The nightmare is if somehow he doesn't go to Madrid or Bayern - he hasn't won the league title yet, and that's something he might want to win before leaving. If that happens, I think he's very much nailed on to be playing for the Mancs and winning a few titles for them.
