Perhaps he was but if Ancelotti was to pick a replacement for Anelka/Drogba I'm sure he'd happily go for Torres. Sheva was an aged over the hill footballer going for the last big pay check. Torres is still a class act & hungry for trophies (whether we want to admit it or not)

Yes he'll most likely come good for them, that wasn't my point. Him being forced into lineup might have serious short term consequences for Chelsea like missing the Champions League next season.

I just downloaded the sky sports highlights. At the start of the game when the camera zoomed in on to Drogba and Torres, the commentator went "I wonder what they are talking about. You have the first, I ll score the second mate, You run here, Ill feed you". Sounded like the sky sports were desperate, absolutely desperate for El Cunto to score.
