From Soccernet.com:

Suarez has denied the speculation and his re-committed his abilities to the Liverpool cause, even admitting he was in ‘pain’ to be forced to sit-out Sunday’s derby clash.

“I have a deal with Liverpool and this is my present - and future,” Suarez told The Lying Rag.

“From the day I arrived, I saw how special this derby is, so it is a pain to miss it.

“But we have a big squad which can function without me.”

But did he really talk to that rag?

The Lying Rag ALWAYS say 'told The Lying Rag' when they're using Associated Press articles for themselves. Cos their cunts.

I found out off Raheem's twitter feed. Which appeared in my facebook feed. So it must be true.

I doubt he told The Lying Rag.

I also doubt that he spoke to the cunts, (I hope he didn't) and they have no need to speak to him. It has been proven that they lie and make up bullshit about people and don't care who they hurt our upset in the process. This could be completely made up, rehashed from an interview with 'The Salto Tribune' or they posed as one of those folks who hands a drying paper after you've had a dump and washed your hands in your favorite restaurant, either way unless it states 'In an exclusive interview with the S**'(even that could be bull) then I wouldn't believe a word of it. Remember it is derby and the cunts will do anything to sell an extra copy

Erm...he just said that he's staying and you're talking about The Lying Rag...

Because we knew he was staying. It's all he and the club have said

I'm not going to get on his back if it turns out he did talk to them. I know a number of Reds who still won't read the thing but aren't really that fussed about it any more now that it's printed a front page apology, albeit with one arm tied behind its miserable back. Suarez may have been advised to that effect.

Are reporters from The Lying Rag allowed to attend press conferences on Anfield?

Genuine question...

Is The Lying Rag thing still valid given recent events, turnover of staff, etc.?

Seriously??? The Lying Rag 'thing' will always be relevant as long as the club, people who watch and love LFC and no cares about rubbing the deaths of innocent people into their faces for a bigger circulation exists.

I understand pursuing it till the truth is finally revealed and those who were really to blame are held to account - at the very least in the public eye.

I guess I'm wondering now because there have been some game-changing events in the last year and because it's often brought up that the staff has changed almost wholesale and the issue of boycotting Murdoch's empire on a wider scale is something that would be difficult to do.

Is this something that never goes away regardless of what happens? If so, is that a good thing?

Perhaps this thread is a bad place to ask these questions and if people find them distasteful or whatever feel free to point it out. I'm just curious.

Well let's put it this way - right up until 2005 they (The Lying Rag and a whole new editing team) were denying they did anything wrong. Then Wayne Rooney did an interview with them and the whole of Liverpool went crazy with rightful indignation. The Lying Rag then for the first time made an 'apology' - It really wasn't one though if you remember. If anything it made it worse. Sure the truth has come out now and if people want to move on then that is a personal choice to them. For me I don't forgive or forget that hurtful and spiteful rag - As far I'm concerned anyone associated with LFC shouldn't have anything to do with them.
