Pffftttt

Excellent news but I just hope he is not being rushed back this time or trying to push himself beyond the limits of his recuperation. There was a Twitter pic recently of his injuries over the past 3 years - horrific viewing.

If he was fit and firing we would have made Top 4 last season. If he can stay fit for most of this season then we will make Top 4. Assuming his injuries have not destroyed the skills that made him one of Europe's top strikers.

Our best striker by a mile, but the way he hogged the ball and acted like he was the only one who could score between his last injuries was fecking annoying. Can't wait to see him back. He's top.

And how many times was Gerrard injured in his early days? Good job we didn't give up on him. No, he's no Gerrard, but once he's back and fit, he'll still be a seriously good striker.

How about instead of bringing him back early, we use the time to make sure that injury isn't going to happen again in 3 weeks time.

So much hate towards him, like he wants to be injured....

Still the best striker at the club and the potential to be a leading striker in the league.
Lets just hope we have found the reason for his injury problems and that he can stay fit.
If he can do that we have a great chance of getting in to the top 4.

We now have enough striker coverage that we can afford to keep him rested during mid week and keep him predominantly for weekends. I think he survived the whole of 13-14 as we were playing once a week. Once our schedule got hectic he was a goner. He's a great finisher and I'd love to have him back playing regularly.

He was out for 2 1/2 months in 13/14 and then for another game or two near the end, so he's brittle either way. I agree though about playing him at the weekend only. Keep him away from cup and EL games unless we've gone deep into the competition.
