In the summer ... That's the rumor going around ... for 25 million quid ...

It would be an unfortunate end to his career here ... 50+ goals in barely over 100 games shows he had what it takes ...

Would you take it?

Considering how he cannot stay healthy, or isn't exactly rated by the gaffa, 25 million is a pretty good fee for him based on the last few years ...

Yes definitely. He's worth so much less to us than that. He doesn't play and gets paid 120k a week.

NO! Tell the cockney fucker's to stump up £40m. Studge if fit will score 20 plus goals, so there will be competition for him. The market is inflated let's take full advantage of it and not take the first offer.

£40m, as broken as Studge is and with the new TV rights deal there's a premium on all players so West Ham can pay it

I've been a big backer of Sturridge but he's crocked and it's time to cut bait. He might do okay at West Ham but he'll never be what we need. 25m is a decent fee all things considered and we should strongly consider it. I haven't seen anything at all in the last 12 months to indicate he will get back to top form.

Never heard this expression.

Should be minimum of 40 million because of his age and the English premium. However he so out of sight and mind now that 25 million looks good. Give him game time and things could change, if he ever gets fit....

It's great that he averages about a goal every two games for us. But unless he plays a lot more than two games a season, we'd be better off with someone who scores about a goal every three or four games, and plays more or less every game.

Is he still alive. Yeh, I'd take 25mill for him to do one. You can pretty much guarantee though, that wherever he goes, he'll never be injured again.... sods law

If he was in a Western movie, he'd be the harmonica-playing buddy who'd break his leg and croak, 'You go on without me, pardner...' as the arrows were flying in. If he was in an old spy movie, he'd be the key informer who'd phone you with the crucial revelation, only to have a knife fly in his back just before he reveals the truth. If he was in Spinal Tap, he'd be the really promising drummer.

He's lieutenant dan in Forest Gump

I thought he'd be able to get somewhere with Champions League - I'd rather go to Celtic than West Ham and Bren is stupid enough

He's a fascinating case study, really. I mean, with that sublime talent, and at that age, you'd think he'd be visibly going nuts dealing with the stalling of his Liverpool and England career - it's as if one minute, he was flying high, then someone flicked a switch and he stopped - but he just wanders about as if he's got thirty years of playing ahead of him. Maybe deep inside he's absolutely devastated, but he sure as hell hides it well.

He could yet do it - 12 months at another mid table club injury free (yes I know) and he could be back on everyone's radar
