Good read.

Excerpt :
One oddity of storming is that it tends to work best against the most skilful teams. It's hard against defensive sides that keep 10 men back, which explains how Liverpool could lose 2-1 at home to Wolves in last season's FA Cup. It's also hard to storm a long-ball team, because they will just go long by way of bypassing.

Pretty much what Roma switched to in that second half (long ball punting) with some success.

I've noticed we've put a lot of emphasis on TAA & Robertson making runs & crosses as well as switching wings doing so.

This is & has been our 'plan b' the second half of the season, & I would say it's working for the most part, even against sides that play the long ball, cos when they play that it invariably ends up with a CB, all of whom are good enough to get it to the wings, or the full-backs, who are both good enough to make space & work as a viable alternative to 'storming', which usually involves pushing it quicker than lightning through the centre & can be combatted by bypassing the midfield.

You cannot bypass the defence, at least without scoring from the long ball, which is why our defence is becoming the fulcrum of some of our attacks.
