Do you write for the BBC? They have just come up with an article backing this. We were "robbed" of 12 points. City got 3 extra. Given that we also "ceded" some points through CL Final preparation, the gap seems a lot smaller.

Fantastic!!
No, I don't write for the BBC and I hadn't seen that at all!! It is nice to see that the punditry experts agree with me...
It is not just that we were robbed a bunch of times last year but City was also granted some lovely boosts at really nice times, while we were having pressure and confidence-damaging things happen to us they were sometimes getting the exact opposite. I remember arguing with utter knobheads on here about how good Spurs where compared to us etc, the same Spurs who if it wasn't for a dodgy linesman in the last game of the season at home to Leicester would have finished a point below us, the same Spurs who were gifted a penalty by a shit ref who then subsequently didn't award us a clear penalty away at Old toilet...
City were the best team last season, they won the points and we didn't and there were a few performances we put on which were shabby, Spurs away, City away, Newcastle dropped points etc...
That said I truly believe we were the second-best team last season and you never know if it weren't for bad luck to towards us and good luck towards them who knows...
Also, it is worth pointing out that we've beaten them Manc cunts the last 3 times we've played em...
Even the season before last we were plagued by injuries and African nations cup...
We can't just rely on luck either way and I'm sure I'm not alone in being delighted we've strengthened in the nets and In midfield, it's strange after so many years of waiting to be disappointed that I should still be so optimistic but that is football at its essence isn't it, that's why we watch!
IMO last season apart from the first leg at home to City in the CL we had nothing but bad luck thrown our way, in the CL final and beyond. Also IMO I can't remember seeing anything as good as that first 75 minutes against Roma in the semi-final for the last 25 years... some of the best footy I've ever seen in my lifetime and I'm old enough to remember smashing Nottingham Forest 5 nil.
I genuinely get annoyed with negativity and pessimism spouted by supposed fans, I for one am absolutely LOVING being a Liverpool at the minute just like I always have to be honest.
I won't tweak the nose of the football Gods and say that silverware is imminent because I'm a ludicrously superstitious fucker and don't like Jinxyness, I haven't watched a penalty since standing on the Kop in 1991 and noticing other fans deliberately turn around, if I care about a penalty I never watch it, that's superstition to the max. What I will say, because it is patently true, LFC are looking very very VERY fucking nifty and I'm loving it.
Bring on those Manc cunts.
