Stopping Man City

Two extra extra time winners which if the ref could actually read his watch and wasn’t a cunt shouldn’t have happened = 4pts and boost to confidence

Red card by Mane at Etihad = 6pts on us...

5 occasions I can think off where we were fucking patently robbed by the ref being a cunt including the very first game away Watford ( a result which in combination with a bunch of whinging cunts unhappy we didnt buy a cheaper CB when VVD transfer fucked up in summer really put negative vibes onto the team)

United away how in the world of fuck is that not a penalty,
Spurs at Anfield, obvious diving cunts linesman celebrated fucking us over,
Everton at Anfield as soft a pen as you will ever see,
West Brom at home shudda had a pen in the 80th on Solanke,
Stoke at home shudda been a pen...
West Brom away..wasn’t a free kick was it...

I reckon we were robbed by at least 10 points by reffing wereas City were boosted at good times to be boosted

That’s twenty points bridged already... it’s in the bag...
Do you write for the BBC? They have just come up with an article backing this. We were "robbed" of 12 points. City got 3 extra. Given that we also "ceded" some points through CL Final preparation, the gap seems a lot smaller. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/45087444

Fantastic!!

No, I don't write for the BBC and I hadn't seen that at all!! It is nice to see that the punditry experts agree with me...

It is not just that we were robbed a bunch of times last year but City was also granted some lovely boosts at really nice times, while we were having pressure and confidence-damaging things happen to us they were sometimes getting the exact opposite. I remember arguing with utter knobheads on here about how good Spurs where compared to us etc, the same Spurs who if it wasn't for a dodgy linesman in the last game of the season at home to Leicester would have finished a point below us, the same Spurs who were gifted a penalty by a shit ref who then subsequently didn't award us a clear penalty away at Old toilet...

City were the best team last season, they won the points and we didn't and there were a few performances we put on which were shabby, Spurs away, City away, Newcastle dropped points etc...

That said I truly believe we were the second-best team last season and you never know if it weren't for bad luck to towards us and good luck towards them who knows...

Also, it is worth pointing out that we've beaten them Manc cunts the last 3 times we've played em...

Even the season before last we were plagued by injuries and African nations cup...

We can't just rely on luck either way and I'm sure I'm not alone in being delighted we've strengthened in the nets and In midfield, it's strange after so many years of waiting to be disappointed that I should still be so optimistic but that is football at its essence isn't it, that's why we watch!

IMO last season apart from the first leg at home to City in the CL we had nothing but bad luck thrown our way, in the CL final and beyond. Also IMO I can't remember seeing anything as good as that first 75 minutes against Roma in the semi-final for the last 25 years... some of the best footy I've ever seen in my lifetime and I'm old enough to remember smashing Nottingham Forest 5 nil.

I genuinely get annoyed with negativity and pessimism spouted by supposed fans, I for one am absolutely LOVING being a Liverpool at the minute just like I always have to be honest.

I won't tweak the nose of the football Gods and say that silverware is imminent because I'm a ludicrously superstitious fucker and don't like Jinxyness, I haven't watched a penalty since standing on the Kop in 1991 and noticing other fans deliberately turn around, if I care about a penalty I never watch it, that's superstition to the max. What I will say, because it is patently true, LFC are looking very very VERY fucking nifty and I'm loving it.

Bring on those Manc cunts.

What I love about Klopp is that not once did you hear him complain or make a big fuss about all that 'unluckiness' ever. Nor did he allow his team to moan about it too. Well, maybe except Lucas.

He didn't "moan" a la Mourinho but on a few occasions he did rightly point out that the ref was fucking garbage...

Even last week when they were on the USA trip I saw one of the podcasts doing an interview with him where he mentioned he regretted getting too narky after the West Brom away game and what he said etc... The Fella is top fucking draw he really is... just class.

Yeah ... I am so glad he said regarding west brom game. He was nutty afterwards because we gave away a 2 goal lead...he also said before the CL final regarding those mad comments and expressed regret.

It was funny at the time ... he was blaming the pitch and then west brom for trying to win/draw as it makes fuck all difference to their relegation. It was very funny but at the same time if i was a west brom fan i would think what a cunt he is.

I’m made up West Brom were relegated. I hated them. Anyone with a connection to Pulis deserves to go down.

We will win the league this season. We were a bit behind City in the start of last season, but even though we sold Coutinho we were able to close in on them quality si de throughout the season. We improved our overall game on the season before, just like them. But while they were in position of ruling the league, rotating a bigger squad and not worry bout too much else, we had problems with squad depth and focus on CL. Now they have to defend the league as well as they have to improve CL and we are pretty much building on the late part of last season. We will take this.
