Next Monday is Halloween by the way.
I seen it buddy and lolled.
Your'e wasted round these parts

Neil, I really wish you'd start giving words that need capital letters, capital letters.

Anyway, saw the highlights and when Suarez missed that one from five yards I txt a fellow 6CM poster that Suarez couldn't hit a barn door, and that Coates is shite.

The very next highlight, El Pistolero, megs Ryan Shotton and bends a beauty into the far corner and made me look like a tit.
Still maintain he isn't the best finisher when he 'should' score as opposed to 'could'.

How did Carroll play overall? Couldn't really tell from the highlights.

I'd like to se more of Maxi.

- Thought that was a good performance actually. I was pleased with our attitude more than anything. We seemed to actually want to take the game to them from the first whistel, which doesn't usually happen when you make such vast changes to the team.

- Liked who the defence played higher up the park. Teams can generally do that with Stoke as they're relatively pace-less up front, but it changes the nature of the game markedly when we do that. Being on the front foot and playing the game in their half - I like it.

- Completely bossed them in midfield. Lucas and Spearing won their battle easily, and the supporting fullbacks as well as a (rather abnormal) willingness to tackle in packs when their midfielders had the ball ensured they never had a second.

- Henderson puts in a good corner.

- Suarez's two goals were ridiculous. but that's what you get from world class players, they do shit like that. The concern is that but for him we'd likely have lost that game tonight, so the problem exists - we're way too reliant on him. If he's not scoring, we're not.

How did Spearing do overall ? I know he's not everybody's cup of tea but I think he has his uses , he's decent at winning possession and really hurries the opposition .....and when he has the ball he usually moves it on quickly , doesn't slow things down and gets us going forward a tiny bit like Alonso use to .

I was just looking and Suarez has 7 goals in 12 games for us this season which is not bad at all . And he's 11 ifrom 25 in total . I think it's fair to say that could easily be 20+ goals in 25 if he took some of very decent other chances he had . His finishing can be very frustrating but hopefully he can improve on it because he's a very special player . I guess we wouldn't mind the misses if we'd others chipping in with some goals .

Good result all in all but not much changed from the weekend ....we need more from the new signings , Carroll , Downing , Henderson , Adams ....the jury is still out which considering the money spent is very frustrating .

He did ok. Not amazing, but what he does do - win possession, play it simple, provide good support and steel in the midfield - he does well.

I know he's not as cultured as Chaz Adam, but he provides much more cover than him and at times that'll be useful against certain opposition. He's a great squad player to have really.

Fair play Tony Pulis, saying we fully deserved to win it.
Did Pulis say that? Or were you being sarcastic? The interview I saw he spent the whole time complaining that they didnt get fair play from the ref.

Yup - although we all hope the youth set up provides us the next Gerrard or Carra, players like Spearing (or Kelly or Flannagan etc) are key too. Players that can be rotated in, that play at a good level and cost us nothing really.

I've already come to terms that he will be at Barcelona next summer.
Neymar to Madrid and Suarez to Barcelona
And we end up with the worst player in Barca's youth team as part of the deal.
Twill happen

Oh do stop this defeatist shite. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease. Oh woe is me. Stop it. Stopitstopitstopit.

KHL, give this HaaG a blast of your optimism ray will ya ?

totally, it really annoys me. fucking women.

Spearing did a decent job. He passed a great ball over to Suarez for the first. I know that Suarez had it all to do from there, but at least Spearing adds a willingness to bolster the attack along with being a decent DM.

I was only messing about Gerrard by the way - but if you look at our stats without him we do tend to do better.

Does this go down as an assist for Spearing?

As unspectacular as it may be, Lucas and Spearing work really well together.

Absolutely hated that BBC commentator. When suarez stood on his feet after being tripped in the penalty box " that is quite unlike Suarez"..whenever the Stoke fans booed, that is quite common now..

It was his cross. That's how it works isn't it?

Yeah I suspect that it is.

Stats eh?

It was Stoke away. More often than not that partnership is not going to be a fruitful one.

it was fine last season when we were on fire. i think as a base it's ok, the problem is we don't have enough creators further forward to compensate.

should've signed mata.

It worked great against Citeh last year. 3-0. Carroll scored twice. I think Ming played really well on the left though.

Suarez's first goal counts as two goals, in my book. One for going through the hapless defenders legs, and another for curling it to the far post quite beautifully. Sublime.

Agger, Bellamy, Maxi, Spearing were all players who played really well and actually haven't had much of a role to play in our season so far. Kenny should use his squad a lil bit better.

Carroll had a decent game.

Coates looks promising.

it did indeed, and a load of other games. but the creativity in that team came from a mix of meireles like you say, plus johnson and maxi, as well as suarez of course. we've sold ming and maxi doesn't get a look in, and i think overall we're the worse for it for the moment. i think henderson will get better and better, but why swapping ming for him was a priority i don't know.

"Swapping". Ffs.

First time since february that Stoke has conceeded more than 1 goal at the Britannia. Great result and hopefully we can get something from the WBA game aswell.
