For the post of Social Secretary
The deliverer of fake news.
Just love fucking with people 😉.
Of course he's not getting a new contract.
He should be getting a testimonial though.

It's fate... He will stay..

Our Brazilian Trio..

Lucas Firminio and Coutinho = LFC

10 + 11 = 21

That is too much of a coincidence...LFC never realised it.

Lucas, 30, has one year left on his contract and is keen to resolve his future with Klopp ahead of the summer.

“There is no doubt about my commitment to Liverpool, I just need to wait until the end of the season, work hard and make a decision together with the club,” he said.

“I have been here long enough and if the time comes for me to go somewhere else I think I will leave with the feeling that I did everything I could.

“I am getting to the stage of my career where I think I can help a lot, off the pitch of course, but on the pitch as well.

“Playing time [will play a part], I wouldn’t like to just be around. I feel I have many years that I can still play at the top level. I need to analyse and see what is best for me and the club and then I am sure we will make a decision together.”

Lucas has proved a crucial squad player for Klopp this season, reinventing himself as a central defender and playing in his usual central midfield role at the Hawthorns.

And he admits his full focus will be on the remaining games of the season as Liverpool look to secure Champions League football.

“I don’t really know what will happen, I just need to focus on the last five games,” he said.

“The last few games I have played I feel very good. I have played centre-back and midfield, so I give some options to the manager and when he needs me I always try to deliver.

“We have a lot to play for and it depends on us. It is in our hands. I want to finish the season a high.”

Seems to me that Klopp might want him around as squad player, but Lucas won't accept that.

Overrating himself a bit I'd say but hey it's basically what he want so...

I'd be surprised if he wouldn't stay as a squad player, it's more or less what he's always been and he knows we'll have alot more football next season.

Let's face it, no body will offer him the salary we offer him.

He will bite our hand off if we offered an extension.

I hope we don't and he goes back to Brazil...

I might jump, if he signs an extension..

I would really prefer he stays, we will have a lot of injuries next season and he has shown he can come into the team from the cold and perform

that's not entirely true is it, when he came in from the cold it was just after Christmas where is was absolutely bollocks in a few matches.

I feel the typical Lucas performance is akin to having your dinner with the sword of damacles over your head , you just never know when shit will go awry.

that said , I like him , give him anothe couple of tears Klopp.

Don't confuse his crappy defence performances with his midfield performances.
When he plays at DM he's one of our most consistent players.

It slipped my mind that he's only 30. He'll go on for many more years. I foresee him hanging on in there until Gerrard takes over, and then talk his way into a player coach role.

I think Newcastle will offer him a short term contract if they make it to the PL.

That would be perfect for all concerned: an experienced, if limited, defensive midfielder for Newcastle; Lucas and the man to whom he owes his career reunited; Lucas finally fucking leaves.

Some people think Rafa ruined a great box to box midfielder.

It's maybe true. Two amazing assists in his last two games!

The stunning flick on for Firmino - such vision!
And the pass for Coutinho vs Stoke, that was Lucas wasn't it? Left Coutinho with almost nothing to do.

I'm not going to argue against such brilliant mong logic.

You win at being a moron....I will not stoop to your level man. Keep going.

If his recent midfield performances sway Klopp in any way into using a genuine defensive midfielder to help bolster our leaky and disorganised defence that that can only be a good thing surely. Whether that means keeping Lucas for another year or two I would doubt but you never know. The squad could do with the addition of one though.
Henderson does a reasonable job there but he reacts to danger rather than anticipating it which is understandable as he's not really a defensive midfielder and his foot injury flaring up now and again is a big cause for concern longterm.

It wasn't Lucas's assist, no. Unless you mean Firmino's goal V Stoke? Even then, it wasn't Lucas either - so fuck knows what you're on about.

Besides, I see you've come alive now there's an opportunity to denigrate him in some thread. He's been excellent when badly needed in our last 2 away games, as much as it must gall you.
