Think he'll do well at first - arguably he has to prove he can sustain continued development at a club that isn't too trigger happy. Hope he does it, starting with a win v city and a loss v us to show it's not all plain sailing

I reckon he should go to a decent sized Championship club next, get them promoted and see how they do. It gives him an extra season or two before being in a relegation battle, which he'd be in from day 1 with Villa.

They should not be in a relegation battle. They have a good squad. This is the perfect opportunity for him to prove if he has the chops.

He should be targeting top half this season. If he does that, he will be well set to show is worth - or not - next year.
