Spurs - Should've been us?

It really galls me watching Spurs - they're playing good football and still have a (very) slim chance of pipping Chelsea, but with three massive players bought for reasonable outlays that we were linked with as stand-out favourites to sign - Christian Eriksen, Toby Whatisface (twice) and Delli Alli

We'll probably never know why - was it Brodgers or the committee? but it's cost us big time, as we could have really been challenging this season had we had the last two

Well Eriksen seems to have chosen Spurs:

Chairman Levy and technical director Baldini flew to Amsterdam to negotiate with the Dutch club and the move paid off.

Eriksen said: "I talked a little bit with the manager but I had more to do with the chairman and the director Baldini.

Toby when he moved to Atletico:
He told the Spanish press following his arrival at Atletico: "The club have been following me now for two or three weeks, and you could see they really wanted me.

"That is why I turned down approaches from other teams. Liverpool, for example, appeared in the last few days, but I had already taken my decision.

"The truth is that Atletico made a huge effort to convince me."

Dele Alli is the only one I rue missing out on. Alderwotsit was shunted from AM to So'ton on loan because he was a liability for a while (obviously come good now), and we have Coutinho filling the Eriksen role. But we really should have got Alli. What a ballsup that turned out to be.

Yeah, Alli was the big mistake. Not so bothered about the other two.

Anyway, fuck Spurs.

I'd rather not be Spurs - that means not winning anything and still thinking you're great because you were the closest challenger to the champions last year, and still finished 3rd ... fuck them and chelsea better not fucking give them another reason to practice those idiotic high fives

I obviously hate Arsenal, but that was genuinely very amusing.

Title battle with fucking Leicester, failing, and then capitulating so badly they came third behind, of all teams, Arsenal.

Hohohoho

A friend of mine who's a Tottenham fan asked me shortly after that season finished what had happened to my team. I was still laughing at her a couple of days later.

I'm hoping their best players will get picked off by bigger clubs and their manager fucks off to Barcelona pronto. They're an extremely well run club who cope with high profile losses well, but if Kane and the boss both leave then it will certainly hurt them.

I properly hate how well they're doing. Even more than I hate their ridiculous celebrations. It all needs to end.

Indeed, and he's done it at two clubs now. Credit (for once) to Balague, who said he'd be a hit in English football. I'm hoping Barça come in for him this summer.

Spurs have a settled side. We have a decent core but I hope Klopp finds key players that can come in and perform instantly.
