Last year? Incredible. Nothing to their key players for any real length of time.

This year? Hugo out for a month already ...

@SpursOfficial
Following further assessment of the hamstring injury sustained by Hugo, we can confirm he's expected to be out of action for around 4 weeks.

Could be because of the Euros. He'll miss the match against us which could be a good thing.

Leicester had an even better time with injuries - they lost a mere 77 days (off the top of my head Spurs were (all approximations) 140, Liverpool second worst at 260, United 240 and Newcastle 360 led the table). I still maintain that Spurs' relative lack of strength in depth (Spurs fans naturally don't agree) will hurt them if normality returns and they average the same number of injuries as their close competitors for a Top 4 slot.

Yeh Kane was made of steel last season. Month or two out for him and they had no real back up

They do have what looks like a quality back-up for Kane in Janssen. But still, with CL football and the absence of last season's luck with injuries, they might struggle to maintain last year's pace.

On a side note, West Ham's summer signing Andre Ayew will be out for 2016 with a thigh injury.
