Spurs clear out could see Modric leave?

Which is precisely what I have always thought about the lad, he is really an athlete and not a footballer. He can take a half decent free kick very so often, but bar that he has nothing to his game. Southampton must have been pissing themselves when they got £12 million for him.

Anyone who wants Gareth "No wins" Bale is a muppet...

Seriously though, we do not need a new LB. I'd take Hutton in a second though for RB, twice the player Arby is, if he stays fit you'll see how good he can be.

Other than that, Bent is an explosive striker, he'll score in bursts, something we don't really need. Modric is very similar to Benni, do we really need two?

Hutton looked good in the SPL but has done nothing south of the border. I'd be concerned he could turn out to be another Cuellar.

We need back-up for Torres as the point man in our attack. If Bent were prepared to play second fiddle I think he'd be a good signing.

Agree about Modric. I rate the guy but we don't need him.

Ps idiots

Gareth Bale isn't fast at all

Or any fucking good for that matter.

He looks like something from Planet of the Apes.

Bale has plenty of time to improve.

He has some good parts to his game and when he is brimming with confidence he is a very dangerous player..
He moved to Spurs under a coach who couldnt speak a word of English.. He plays in a team that were complete shite for 75% of the year so surely people should give the lad some time..

He is still younger than Insua isnt he?

We'll get neither.

OK, but out of those two who do you think can become a better player IF he join us.

Nevermind boy. Glock usually never ask question to peons like but you can consider yourself lucky today as Glock in a good mood and ask question to you. Its up to you to answer it. IF you think that's not on your agenda today, well that's fine. Glock will not get upset. Thank you.

I'd take Pavlyuchenko over Bent, personally. I think he has higher game intelligence. He scored 14 goals in all comps in his debut season for Spurs, which is not a bad return considering he ended up coming into a team in turmoil and didn't have consistent playing time, all while adjusting to a new league and playing for a different manager than the one who signed him. His stock is lower than it should be at this point because of all those circumstances, so whatever team signs him could get themselves a decent bargain. At least, he has to be cheaper than Bent.

There´s only two players I´d want from Spurs: Modric and Lennon...and perhaps Corluka (if he lets his hair grow long again).

Some good points there, but Bent is closer to Torres in style (especially in terms of pace - he's a lot quicker than Pavlyuchenko from what I've seen of them both) and - an important factor now - he's English. Would Pavlyuchenko accept being second choice anyway?

😀

Heh, there's nothing wrong with a bit of Rafaism on a Liverpool forum. I like the phrase 'game intelligence'. It separates real intelligence from the 'game intelligence' on the field. Like Sissoko. You often him called him 'Brains', which personally I thought was unfair, as he was an intelligent enough guy off the field, but undeniably lacked "game intelligence" on it.

Conversely, David Beckham isn't a very intelligent footballer (off the field). But on the field he has great "game intelligence".

Looks like Bale will be staying..."
Tottenham full-back Gareth Bale has undergone knee surgery and now faces a race to be fit for the start of the next Premier League season. // An injury could prevent Bale being used to raise money if he was deemed surplus to requirements, as Redknapp is expected to sell players as well as bolster his squad to improve on last season"

Smart move. 😉
