Or if he absolutely has to play Origi, stick him on the wing so at least Firmino can play in his preferred role and do what he does best. No, I don't think he would have scored a hatful if he were up front today, but the team would have been much more likely to score. Instead, we play an ineffectual striker is his role and put him a position where he's much less effective. Brilliant.
 
Amazed that a team who clearly has our number and has nothing to lose didn't actually try to play a little football this afternoon... We couldn't break them down, yes, but Southampton were wank too - Small team getting a point away to the big boys mindset. Didn't expect that.

Milner's first missed peno in 7.5 years... had to happen at some point. Great save, in fairness. One of two blinding saves by him.

Not surprised that we didn't score. Amazed that we didn't concede.

Funny enough, I like us to go and beat West Ham far more than I fancied us to win today... Fingers crossed.

Loving these 'we don't deserve 4th place...' posts! Nonsense. We deserve wherever we end up, over the 38 games. I'm still quietly optimistic that we get 4th. And if that's how it ends up, we absolutely deserve it. The league shows what each team truly is, and if the other can't cant take advantage of our mistakes, so be it... Anything but a scum win today and I still like our chances.
 
So every man and his dog could see that Gini, Lucas and Can in the same midfield at home was destined for failure. Except Klopp and his Brain. And so it transpired, that between the 2 of them, not one of them could work it out.

We are so predictable. I want us to finish top 4, but unless we get a super favourable draw, we are in danger of doing an Everton and fucking it up at the first hurdle.

Don't bother. You won't learn anything new. It's the same old problems that have plagued us recently.

Only solution is new players.
