Holland are my favourites by quite a long way.
I think they're probably the one country left in the world you could say really *deserve* to have won a world cup. So many great teams down the years.

4 very average teams.....I favour a German victory because they're the only ones who haven't had to rely on one player e.g. Messi, Robben & Neymar and therefore IMO are marginally the most worthy winners.

I think Germany is definitely the best team in the tournament. I can never really actively want them to win it, though.

Germany no longer have the traits that made me dislike them in the past. But I still can't wish them well.
Brazil have been total cunts .. definitely not them (sorry Brazil - the country not the team). I met a young Argentinian guy on one of my birding trips (Taman Nagara Rainforest in Malaysia) and we had dinner, a few beers and chatted about the forthcoming World Cup - he had no tickets as he said the prices were insane for normal people in Argentina but he was going anyway to camp outside and maybe get to see his team so they take 2nd spot for me. The Netherlands had an amazing, fantastic, team in 1974 & '78 and it was a travesty they didn't win ... and it'd also be nice to see a new name on the cup so :

I don't know why people are giving out about Brazil when this is the worst Netherlands squad ever.
I'm just sick of hearing about Brazil. I find them annoying. Plus I want to prove the people who said at the start that they'd win it wrong. And that thing where they do an impassioned second rendition of their anthem sans music makes me want to vomit my entire digestive system up.
Holland I can take or leave but they're a great football nation and they deserve a world cup.
True but Netherlands have a population of about 14m and therefore are allowed have a poor team every now and then; Brazil are BRAZIL and have a population of 200m so should be able to field 11 better players than the current crop.
*Population figures are based on vague recollections of stuff I've read so apologies if incorrect but should be close enough.
