Didnt this happen last year and Torres got a bad injury?!
Surely they should just allow teams to focus on the start of the season?! Pathetic really considering the sums of money that teams are paying these top players and they dont even get the opportunity to work with them properly.. The world cup has bearly been over for 5 weeks..
The concern is that our medical staff have designed individual intensive programs targetting players troublesome areas avoiding high impact training until the players bodies are 100% ready... We have obviously spent millions upon millions and Roy's comments during pre-season make it obvious that everyone has been very careful and worked to a strict guideline.. Then for them to be thrown into other training that realistically could be completely destructive...

Capello has been really dire.
Considering the standard of the other teams, last world cup probably represented England's best chance of a major tournament victory, and he messed up big time.
He does not take any calculated risk what-so-ever, even in a friendly for fucks sake (Why do you think he played Heskey? against the weak teams, and drop him in the world cup?) and he has no guts to drop the big names. John Terry and Gareth Barry should have been ousted from the squad, and One of Lampard and Gerrard should have been relegated to the bench. It really has to be Lampard, but i really wouldn't mind if he pissed Stevie off so he can concentrate on club football.
England needs to find a Striker who can partner or substitute Rooney.
