Hardly our favourite opposition, I don't know what to think of this one, they're in Europe so their games have been coming thick & fast, we've been spluttering along all season..

Maybe swap Spearing for Lucas or Adam, I'm not fussed. Also might be worth playing Downing if we're playing Carroll so we can actually see them together on the same pitch.

Give Suarez a break - I don't think he needs a battering by Stoke at this point.
 
OR we need Craig Johnston to create a new boot. The Mowertor. So we can run, dribble and shorten the grass to acceptable levels whilst still retaining control and a sprinkling of curl on the ball

Ha! Coz I'd like to see Downing and Bellamy play with Carroll for once.

I'd have maybe given Maxi a go against Norwich with Suarez and the like. A better fit.
 
I hope we play Carroll and they play Crouch. Then we can all talk about how they're exactly the same footballer that we've had the pleasure of paying a combined 42 million pounds for.
 
I hope we play a strong attacking line up. I want to see Gerrard, Henderson, Suarez, Carroll and Bellamy/Maxi starting up top. as a 4-3-3. When we're not hitting form and gelling upfront so we don't have the luxury of resting players, they need to click and they need to click now. Two games a week is not too much to ask. I must say, I'm rather stoked for this game. Suarez and Carroll we find form together, soon the better for us, cos if Andy hits form, we'll score goals.

I don't know anything about Doni apart from he's a decent enough shot stopper, so I can't nominate him for the team. I don't know how reserve keepers do impress the staff these days, seeing as they don't play in the reserves. It seems mad to me. Anyway, playing Stoke must be one of the alien experiences for a foreign keeper so I hope he's left on the bench.
 
No Europa League and more significantly no trophy in 6 years so hope it's our strongest possible team, which at the minute is:

Am I the only one not too bothered about this game ?

I'd like to see us give those who need a game a start tonight, Carroll up front, Henderson in the middle alongside Spearing, Coates at CB, If Agger needs a run out etc.
