Thats probably a bit too attacking but it uses the best players we have in the formation that had been working. Be nice to get a proper ball winner in midfield if possible.

I agree. I don't know if this would be the right line up in away games, like you said it's too attacking.

Thought of Anelka and I like him. He is Premiership proven. Forlan would make a good replacement for Torres but would cost a fair bit. However, like Anelka is 31.

I would seriously consider Lavezzi and Stevan Jovetic. Both had blinders against us and looked the real deal.

Get Anelka in and get a world class striker in the summer.

Torres leaving gives us a great opportunity to rebuild. It doesn't mean that we can't tie up any deals now for the summer. Fuck it, post date the deals if we must to get who we want if we can't do it in this window.
 
I'd love to get another top striker. Benzema looks available after talk that Mourinho is signing Adebayor permanently.
 
2 days to go we're not going to go for Forlan (which would be my preference on short notice as he would help Suarez fit in and has Pl experience). If Torres goes then I don't think we will be getting a replacement before the deadline.

That's my fear. Which world class striker can we bring in realistically in 24h? Cause if Suarez get's injured then it's Ngog.

Those two are not mentioned a lot but certainly they'd be outsiders?

Wasn't too impressed with Lavezzi against us but he's got a good record in Serie A (on second thought.. *walks away slowly*) and Hulk looks like a Premiership-build scoring-machine.

The thing is IF Torres leaves which I still don't believe for some odd reason we'd need a new striker with pace, power and strength. Anelka does not fit that bill at all - at least not anymore. Hulk certainly does (whether he's good enough is another matter but he looks very decent) and to some extent the Argie from Napoli as well.

Fernando Torres, the Llorente one, is another strong candidate I reckon and that Negredo-lad scored a brace last night as well. There are choices to pick from.

Yep (though personally, I would). And by that reckoning, they wouldn't be interested in Anelka either.

I don't want any Chelsea cast offs.
 
After his previous spell in England, I wouldn't buy Forskin either TBH. Good player, and by all accounts a decent fella, but no thanks.
