Taking over for Brizzle since it's the league cup.
How does Klopp manage this one?
Rest everyone?

I doubt that Salah, Mane or Jota will play. Or anyone else who've played the last 3 games. So Matip definitely out and Trent as well.

Something like that.

He will manage it like he does every year.

Playing the kids/Minamino Adrian Ox Origi (if he even still with us) others players he gives no fucks about.

Both teams will be sending out the reserves ahead of the Boxing Day games quickly followed by our league meeting.

Wasn't Leicester's match at Everton postponed as they have a load of COVID cases. Will they be back for Wednesday?

Leicester Mercury

Among those returning to training are players from the first batch of Covid cases.
City had seven players absent for the Europa League game in Italy because of illness or Covid. Daniel Amartey was the first of those players to return, making his comeback to training on Wednesday before the shutdown, while the others, if well, will also be able to train again after completing their isolation periods.

Among the group that missed the match in Naples were Kelechi Iheanacho, Ademola Lookman, Ayoze Perez, and Jannik Vestergaard.
With players returning to the squad, hopes of City being able to take on Liverpool in the last eight of the League Cup are growing, and the game is scheduled to go ahead as things stand.

The key factors for City will be assessing the condition of those players who have just returned to the squad, while trying to limit the number of further cases.
Those that tested positive before the Spurs game last week won’t be able to play at Anfield while they are also expected to miss the Boxing Day clash with Manchester City.
Brendan Rodgers will hope to have centre-back pair Jonny Evans and Caglar Soyuncu fit for Wednesday’s game after the two postponements gave them an opportunity to recover from hamstring problems they suffered in the club’s last outing, a 4-0 win over Newcastle.

Divock Origi
Reason for absence: Knee injury
The striker has missed the last three league games through injury, although it is not thought to be serious, meaning he could possibly be in contention to face Leicester.

Jordan Henderson
Reason for absence: Illness
The Liverpool captain was not well enough to play against Tottenham, but returned a negative Covid test, meaning he could be available to play vs Leicester.

QF but both teams will have reasons to put out weakened teams.

That's seven that are either regular squad players or are experienced and none of them will be fazed in the slightest starting this minor cup match. Morton who we know won't have an issue and I doubt Bradley, Beck or Gordon will, they've all got first team time under their belts.

Bench to include : Pitaluga, Bradley, Tsimikas, Quansah, Hendo, Milner, Keita & Firmino.

Who plays in midfield is going to depend on the status of those with CV but we can't go playing all of our backup midfield as we are going to need them for this festive period schedule (19th, 23rd, 26th, 29th and possibly for the big one on the 3rd away at Chelsea if our top 3 aren't back) so I'd rest Keita and Milner.

I don't want Tsimikas playing 5 games in 15 days either and with Robbo out for at least the next three then let Beck start, he's looking good. Bradley's played 5 games for Northern Ireland and had 3 games for us, he could move into midfield, his normal position.

At a guess I'd say millions. But yeah will be able to sort tix for this - it it's on
Sound save me one pls! Would be amazing to go after a couple years missing every opportunity. If there's two together also let me know

In theory. It's based on whether they're symptomatic after ten days. But if they haven't trained then I dunno if they'd start anyway

Van Dijk, Fabinho & Jones tested +ve on 16th I think - can they play on boxing day?
I think you're contagious for 1-2 days before symptoms and 3-4 for days afterwards. So maybe a week in quarantine.
During this time they've missed training so after the Leicester game maybe?

Only good thing about this is that i think it uses up one of Robbo’s suspension games
