if we conclude deals for Wanyama and Mkhitaryan, for me Allen every day of the week..

Rodgers should just cut his losses on that one..

I dont want hendo shipped out.. the lad was one of our strongest players towards the latter part of last season, and I think he has bright future ahead of him..

Lucas is well Lucas... he needs to hit the ground running next season, injury free..

Lucas for me, he doesnt offer enough thats different from Allen, and Allen is the better player

i'd be fine with all 3 , well as long as we had replacements .

Wouldn't sell any of them until next season. All of them have shown glimpses of potential at one stage or the other and we may as well give them a chance to see if they can get realise it.

If I was forced into choosing, I would get sell Allen as Lucas is our only holding midfielder.

Allen for me, he hasn't been a Rolls Royce. Then ban this and future managers from bringing in past acquaintances

Spearing £3m......Bring Coady into the 1st team squad as replacement
Shelvey £7m......Miktaryan £22m
Lucas £7m........Wanyama £12m
Downing £7m.....Alberto £7m
Ince* £2.8m.......Aspas £8m
Pepe £9m......Mignolet £9m
Carroll £15m......

£7m outlay for a much improved squad and hopefully we keep Suarez.

Shudderr. Just putting those names together shows how badly we need to upgrade our midfield if we are ever to get back to where we were.

As useless as Lucas is, there is no way I would sell him to make room for a two-match wonder like Wanyama.

However it happened, the fact is Lucas has been here for a lot of years now and he will help the team play like one rather than a bunch of strangers. You'd only replace Lucas from within, or with someone like Alonso. Wanyama can fuck himself.

Lucas is the 2 match wonder; remember those 2 games against City and Chelsea when he actually played well?

Swapping Lucas for Wanyama is not that risky as Lucas offers us nothing and Wanyama might.

Lucas is the incumbent. He has the advantage of knowing what the manager wants and having spent a season taking it all on board, as well as several more seasons training with the club and being completely settled here.

Wanyama offers us instability and yet another fresh start in the deluded hope that there is a pot of gold under the rainbow. Unless its Yaya or Alonso, then there is not a god damned reason for setting us back another year just to fit him into the team. Not in such a crucial position.

Speculate to accumulate Dantes; there's no point sticking with Lucas just because "he knows what the manager wants" and he's "settled" when in truth he's a very ordinary player. Lets take a chance on a player who could become a top player very quickly and in doing so would propel us into a top 4 position.

Lucas is more important than both Allen and Henderson.
I'd never sell Lucas unless we have a better replacement lined up, and all this talk about Wanyama is bollocks.

Of the three names only one is amongst the best in the league in his position and its not Henderson or Allen. Henderson is the obvious choice as he's no attacking midfielder as gamely as he tried last season.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has already begun spending this summer - and could add Celtic midfielder Victor Wanyama to his ranks, according to the Liverpool Echo's rumour mill.
Rodgers has had his eyes set on Wanyama for a while now, but with even more transfers already on their way, Rodgers needs a way to fund the Celtic star's move.
Rodgers sold Andy Carroll to West Ham earlier this summer, before bringing in some new signings. Rumours suggest this is what he plans to do with midfielder Jordan Henderson, but it is unlikely that the Liverpool manager will recover the full £20m invested in the former Sunderland midfielder.

Celtic box-to-box midfielder, Wanyama, could be seen as a better option that Brazilian Lucas Leiva, who hasn't seen a recovery to his previous form since his return to injury. Wanyama will undoubtedly prefer a move to the Premier League in his bid to become Kenya's first player in the Premier League - and Celtic will make a huge profit on the £900,000 they shelled out on the youngster.

We've seen glimpses of his ability to perform on a higher level during Celtic's longer-than-expected Champions League run last season. Wanyama was by far one of the most impressive players from Celtic's point of view. Is his ability worth offloading a young and talented England international, though?

Henderson has improved massively in the 2012/13 Premier League campaign, scoring vitals goals against teams like Arsenal and Newcastle. His movement has improved drastically and he's clearly working on finding the net more. Not to mention, he's currently captain of the England U21 team. Surely, Rodgers sees the young playmaker's potential.

In other news, Liverpool have successfully signed Armenian international attacking midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Shakhtar Donetsk, according to reports in Armenia.

Have we?

I'd say Lucas, but we don't have a suitable candidate to take his place. The only one who possibly could, is Allen. And we all know how he fared out last season.

So Allen.
