I am so depressed about today - cannot bring myself to think about Sion. This is going to screw us up isn't it ? All the other teams will probably win next week and we will fall behind. I just know it - today was going to be a great day; its shit shit and shit!!!

Is this Sion lot any good ? - have they just lost to their own version of Crystal Palace like 5-1; if so we are fucked again.

I would rest all the players likely to feature in the league over xmas.

Play kids and fringe players.
 
Don't turn up for the game - or get some fans to volunteer if that is allowed and put them on. That way no ones got any excuse for being utter garbage like they were today.

Fucking stupid cunting fucking bastarding 6pm kick off. Not only is it shite for anyone working, it causes no end of grief with the other halves as it's way more inconvenient with young kids & bedtimes, teatime etc.

Six pm kick offs on a week night is fucking ludicrous.

The only positive is that by not watching them, you aren't missing anything, because it's a rubbish competition.

I hate it more because it always shifts our games back a day.

We had a thread on this. He isn't considered home grown talent so there wasn't really a place for him. Modo posted our squad and I couldn't stake a claim for him to be included ahead of anyone else really. Well, maybe bar Kolo but we are very light on CB's so that would also have been silly.
 
Injury News

Liverpool will be without Danny Ings and Joe Gomez for the season, Mamadou Sakho is sidelined for the foreseeable, Daniel Sturridge is out and Jon Flanagan isn't ready to return.
The Reds will welcome Emre Can back from domestic suspension but it's likely Jurgen Klopp will field a clutch of youngsters with Divock Origi, Connor Randall, Cameron Brannagan and Jordan Rossiter all aiming for a run-out.
Philippe Coutinho could make his return from injury but Jordon Ibe is ill.
For Sion, Moussa Konate – who started the game at Anfield – is expected to be missing with a fractured hand while winger Martin Zeman has an ankle problem.
Birama Ndoye is suspended after being sent off against Rubin last time out.

I don't know why they all keep asking this question before every game, his answer is always a variation on that above.

They've obviously become used to Rodgers giving them all a full tactical breakdown before & after each match.

Yeah, plus i'm travelling Thursday. They didn't even think of me. I can understand time zone changes for kazan but fucking sion?
 
Couldn't be more "meh" about this even if I tried, which kinda defeats the purpose.

It's the new TV contract to be able to televise both matches on the same night and channel
 
Seems all the buzz of not being able to wait for our next game has been ripped out of me after the farce against newcastle. Lets hope that was a one off blip and we'll be back to our pressing attacking game tonight.
